Microsoft recently had an announcement recently where they announced the release of a new model to add to their existing Surface Go series. The Surface Go been replaced with a new mode, the Surface Go 2. So what improvements have been made to the new device? Here is a comparison of the features of the Surface Go family.

Larger Screen Display
The biggest upgrade to the new Surface Go 2 is the upgrade from the Surface Go’s 10-inch display over to the new Go 2’s 10.5-inch display. In addition, the Surface Go 2 features reduced front bezels for a cleaner look and to accommodate the new larger screen without the need to increase the physical size of the device. While the Surface Go featured an 1800x1200 resolution, the new Surface Go 2 features a higher resolution of 1920x1080 increasing screen real estate. The Surface Go 2’s screen continues to be compatible with the Microsoft Surface Pen.
Other than the display screen, the battery has also been upgraded in the newer Surface Go 2. The Surface Go featured a 26Wh battery, while the Go 2 features a 27Wh battery for a modest increase in battery life.
